Thai Massage

Instructor:  Andre Dupuis

November 21 & 22 , 2009

Thai Massage is a form of manipulative healing therapy.  It uses a combination of stretching and pressure movements to balance the flow of energy (also known as chi, ki or prana) to treat muscles, ligaments, joints, bones, connective tissue and internal organs.  Giving is as good as receiving – after a bodywork session you both feel stretched, refreshed and balanced.  We will learn the supine position which is the most frequently used in Thai Massage as it provides you with access to nearly all parts of the body.  In addition, the client, lying on their back throughout, will find this a comfortable and relaxing position.  Everything taught in this one level course is hands on…you’ll learn the basic techniques for working on the muscles and Sen lines (energy lines)
