Dynamic PostureInstructor: Katerina Pek, MD (cz), MTDynamic Posture Introduction - March 17 Dynamic Posture is a revolutionary European approach to movement re-education. It presents an astonishingly simple yet profoundly efficient way to improve posture, movement and fitness performance. The course teaches how to engage the core muscles properly to improve posture and movement to enable the client to reach maximal potential as quickly as possible. Dynamic Posture is based on neuro-physiological principles of CNS control of posture and movement. They speak a direct language the body innately understands. This allows a much better grasp of learning new “tricks” and to retain them. Any exercise using these principles will become much more effective. This one day course will run from 9:30 AM till 5:30 PM If you register by March 1 the course will be $175 + HST Registrations after March 1 will be $199 + HST Dynamic Posture, Postural Assessment (Upper/Lower Cross Syndrome) September 15, 2013 This hands on course is important for any Registered Massage Therapist. Introduction to Spiraldynamik: Axial RegionInstructor: Katerina Pek, MD (cz), MTApril 28, 2013 This course can be taken either as a sequence to the “Dynamic posture” course or separately as an Introductory course to Spiraldynamik. This hands-on course teaches 3 dimensional mobilizations of the joints. Figure-8 movements, specifically executed are applied to the joints, provoking repetitive action/ relaxation of the muscles. This stretch massage loosens up restrictions within the joints in an active and dynamic way to allow truly coordinated movement. Every joint is treated separately as a unit but also as an integral part of the body. Thus this approach retrains the body to improve the stability of the whole musculo-skeletal system and allows for much freer movement and pain reduction. Application of these principles greatly enhances treatment of most orthopaedic conditions and movement re-education in adults and children. This one day course will run from 9:30 AM till 5:30 PM Register by April 12 and pay $175 + HST Registration after April 12 ~ $199 + HST 3.5 CEUs – Category A

Instructor: Meredith Sands Keator April 6 & 7, 2013 By assessing the relationship of muscular hypertonicity and its response on the soft tissues and joints of the body, therapists are able to better target - and treat - areas of dysfunction using specific Shiatsu skills within their massage practice. This program provides physiological information for therapists to work more efficiently with tracking dysfunction to support their overall treatment plan. Designed as a ‘spa weekend of self-care’, therapists will also be working on themselves through a stretch practicum that focuses its attention on the stretch reflex. They will be learning more about tension patterns they need to address to prevent therapist burnout, as well as what stretches are applicable for a client’s home care. This helps rehabilitate or augment physical function while supporting pain relief for the client, as well as helping therapists alleviate, and even avoid, their own conditions in order to support a life long career. Registration before March 22 ~ $335 + HST Registration after March 22 ~ $365 + HST 6 CEUs - Category A
